The Little Red Schoolhouse aims to provide in-depth education and training for young activists.

Recently, this has taken the form of a yearly 5-10 day summer school in New York City. In 2024, the LRSH was held from July 26 to August 4, 2024 and hosted around 30 attendees, with 18 classes in total.

The LRSH developed a strong, well-rounded Marxist education curriculum. A few sessions stood out as especially timely and strategic:

• Opening Political Report – Framed the political moment, connected the fight against MAGA fascism to the struggle for peace in Palestine.
• The Working Class and the Battle for Democracy – Grounded our work to defend and deepen democracy in class struggle.
• United Front Against Fascism & Socialist Transition – Crucial for helping young people understand our United Front strategy and why defeating fascism is essential to advancing socialism.
• Role of the YCL – Helped provide clarity to fellow members about the history of our organization, the vision we’re fighting for, and the strategy we’re using to build it.

May Day Organizer School (May 2-4, 2025) focused on:

• Teaching young activists fundamental organizing concepts through a Marxist lens
• Practicing the skills that are needed to fight for our freedom and our future
• How to build relationships and have effective 1-on-1 organizing conversations
• How to recruit and develop leadership
• How to craft campaigns that move people and build power
